Challenge Grant Announced by Bob and Bill Goldfarb Families

Dear Friends,

Every dollar you donate to Jonathan’s Dream is now worth two dollars! The Bob and Bill Goldfarb families just announced a $50,000 challenge grant for Jonathan’s Dream. The families will generously match, dollar-for-dollar, every donation made, up to a total of $50,000.

As you may know, the community has come together to build a new Jonathan’s Dream for today’s children and families, and future generations. We invite you to join us in this meaningful project along with the Goldfarb families, a Leadership Greater Hartford Alumni Task Force, young professionals and teens who grew up playing at the original Jonathan’s Dream, and local businesses and organizations.

Jonathan’s Dream Reimagined will be a brand new, state-of-the-art active, interactive, inclusive playground. The new design will include activities for children with a wider range of disabilities and developmental challenges, and features that will delight children, parents, and grandparents of all ages, with and without disabilities. Thanks to advances in the playground industry, the new Jonathan’s Dream will be more fun, more interactive, more accessible, and last longer than the original playground’s 18 years. Visit to see a virtual tour of the new design.

We hope to celebrate reaching our fundraising goal in 2015 and we need your help. We are more than halfway to reaching the $1.2 million needed to rebuild Jonathan’s Dream. Donations of all sizes are welcomed and appreciated. Our goal is to raise the additional funds needed by the end of this year, which will allow our community’s children to play on the new Jonathan’s Dream in 2016. Please consider making a donation to Jonathan’s Dream before December 31st.
